But that’s okay.
Because I love you, but I don’t love only you.
I also love drawing, and video games, and running through the rain, and singing along to my favorite songs with the car windows down, and a million other things. And yeah, at this moment, you may be more important to me than any one of those things. But you aren’t more important than all of them.
And tomorrow I may cry until my eyes ache, and the day after that I may never get out of bed. But that doesn’t change the fact that I’m happy right now. That doesn’t change the fact that, right now, the warmth of fresh laundry and the feeling of computer keys under my fingers and the crisp winter breeze that brings with it the promise of snow could almost make me forget that anything is wrong.
I don’t have to stop loving you to be happy. I just have to remember everything else I love.
